Stop charging for your time. 🛑
My first project cost me a fortune in lost revenue. 📉
I charged ₹30,000 for a project that should have been ₹1,50,000. 🤦♂️
The mistake? I quoted based on my effort, not the client's savings. 🧠
Here is the exact formula I use now to remove the guesswork:
1️⃣ Ask how many hours they spend on the task weekly. ⏳
2️⃣ Multiply by their hourly cost (estimate ₹2,500 - ₹4,000 for staff). 👥
3️⃣ Multiply by 52 weeks to find the annual cost. 🗓️
4️⃣ Charge 10-20% of that annual saving as your setup fee. 💰
Let’s look at the math in action: ✍️
Prospect: "We spend 10 hours weekly on manual data entry." 📑
Their cost: ₹3,000/hour. 💳
Annual cost: 10 hours × ₹3,000 × 52 = ₹15,60,000. 😲
The Pitch: 🎤
"You are spending over ₹15 Lakhs annually on this one task. My setup fee is ₹1,50,000 with a ₹12,000 monthly support fee. You save nearly ₹14 Lakhs in year one alone." 🚀
The system pays for itself in less than 6 weeks. ⚡
Which pricing tier are you in? 📊
Starter (First 3 clients): 🏗️
Setup: ₹40,000 – ₹1,25,000
Monthly: ₹8,000 – ₹15,000
Confident (After 3 clients): 😎
Setup: ₹1,25,000 – ₹2,50,000
Monthly: ₹12,000 – ₹25,000
Specialist (10+ clients): 🏆
Setup: ₹2,50,000 – ₹4,00,000+
Monthly: ₹25,000 – ₹40,000
The Psychology: 🧠
Never say: "I charge ₹4,000 per hour."
Always say: "The investment is ₹1,50,000."
Hourly is a commodity. Project-based is a solution. 💎
